About

Founded in 1989 by Dr. Mounir Girgius, Greenway Biotech Inc. was well established in southern California before its sale in 2012. The company’s transition began with its acquisition by Amir Tajer, a fresh mechanical engineering graduate from Washington State University, eager to carve his own path in the business world. Despite his family’s reservations about his lack of experience, Tajer was driven by a childhood ambition to own a business and make a positive impact.

Initially unfamiliar with the agriculture and food industries, Tajer dedicated himself to learning and soon developed a deep interest in sustainable food production. This interest was personal as well; facing health challenges related to obesity and poor diet, he transformed his health by changing his eating habits, which reinforced his mission to promote healthy living.

Under Tajer’s leadership, Greenway Biotech shifted its focus from local sales to a broader online market, drastically changing its business model. The company expanded its product line to include beauty and personal care products, responding to customer demands. This strategic pivot was a success, leading to a significant increase in sales, largely driven by homeowners rather than traditional business clients.

Today, thanks to a customer-centric approach and a commitment to health and sustainability, Greenway Biotech continues to thrive, with Tajer attributing its growth to the loyalty and support of its customers.
