Syngenta partners with Taranis to strengthen its AI agricultural solutions
Syngenta Crop Protection has embarked on a strategic multi-year collaboration with Taranis, a developer of an AI-powered crop intelligence system. This partnership will deliver AI-driven agronomic solutions and conservation-focused services to agricultural retailers across the United States.
Over the next three years, this collaboration will see substantial investments funneled towards equipping ag retailers with Taranis’ innovative AI technologies. These technologies provide detailed insights into crop health at a leaf-level resolution, enabling precision in farm management and decision-making processes. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency for ag retailers, foster the adoption of conservation practices by growers, and ultimately boost farm profitability.
The collaboration will also focus on integrating Syngenta’s Cropwise platform with Taranis’ intelligence solutions to push the envelope in conservation agronomy and digital agricultural productivity. One specific initiative already underway is a targeted program in the Midwest, where retailers are being equipped with Taranis’ AI platform to perform comprehensive, remote crop scouting and generate real-time agronomic recommendations using the Taranis GenAI agronomy engine.
In addition to the AI-driven agronomic enhancements, the collaboration will extend into conservation services. Taranis’ platform, supported by Syngenta, will facilitate growers’ more straightforward access to conservation practice funding, streamlining the validation of sustainable practices through automated processes.
