Nufarm announces leadership transition alongside biofuel innovation partnership with bp
Nufarm Limited has announced two pivotal developments that underscore its commitment to driving sustainable innovation and strategic growth. Paul Townsend, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, will step down in January 2025, transitioning into a strategic advisory role focusing on initiatives like Nufarm’s Seed Technologies. He will be succeeded by Brendan Ryan, a seasoned agribusiness leader with a proven track record of financial leadership in global markets.
Simultaneously, Nufarm has expanded its partnership with bp through a new R&D collaboration aimed at advancing biomass oil technology. This initiative will accelerate the development of plant-based biofuel feedstocks, contributing to the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and addressing growing global demand for low-carbon energy solutions.
“These developments reflect Nufarm’s vision to drive innovation while strengthening our leadership to address global challenges in sustainability and agriculture,” said Greg Hunt, CEO of Nufarm.
