Yara introduces new organic-based fertilizer line, YaraSuna
Norwegian fertilizer producer Yara announced the launch of YaraSuna, its new line of organic-based fertilizers. This product line represents a significant step towards sustainable agricultural practices, focusing on soil health and crop resilience.
YaraSuna offers six organic and organo-mineral products—Rinnova, Ritmo, Rigoglio, Riflora, Rigenera, and Riserva—crafted to support regenerative agriculture. These products boast a unique micropellet formulation with a high organic carbon content of about 30%. The fertilizers are derived from a blend of bovine, equine, and poultry manure that has undergone an extended period of natural fermentation, enhancing their agronomic qualities without the use of drying ovens in the production process.
YaraSuna extends beyond traditional fertilizer offerings by integrating organic materials to promote a circular economy. This approach improves resource productivity and closes the resource loop, making agriculture more sustainable. The products are designed for ease of use, fitting seamlessly into existing farming practices, and are ensured to be safe and free of contaminants through Yara’s rigorous production standards.
This new line is part of Yara’s broader strategy to enhance its crop nutrition portfolio and digital agriculture solutions, providing a comprehensive range of products that cater to the varied needs of modern agriculture. By introducing organic and organo-mineral options, Yara is broadening its support for farmers aiming for sustainability without compromising on productivity.
