Dorogobuzh boosts NPK fertilizer shipment capacity
Acron Group’s enterprise Dorogobuzh has commissioned a ninth facility for the packaging and shipment of NPK fertilizers, elevating its daily shipment capacity of complex fertilizers in polypropylene Big Bags from 2,400 to 3,000 tonnes. The expansion aligns with the nitro phosphate workshop’s forward-looking development program, which aims to meet the increasing production demands of NPK fertilizers.
This project implementation has enabled the separation of vehicular flows for road and rail transport, allowing simultaneous loading of both railcars and trucks.
A new dosing system has been installed at the facility, replacing the older rotary feeders with bucket dosers developed by Acron Engineering in collaboration with the mineral fertilizer shipment workshop specialists at Dorogobuzh. The new dosers reduce the time to form a one-tonne dose from an average of 25 seconds to just 11-12 seconds, enhancing the precision of the dosing process—a significant factor for consumers of agrochemical products.
