Uralchem hosts seminars for Latin American farmers
In an effort to strengthen its market position in Latin America and promote its new product range, Uralchem Group has organized a series of educational events for agricultural producers in the region. These seminars provided attendees with an extensive overview of Uralchem’s product line and offered guidance on their application.
During the seminars, representatives from the Group conducted “Field Days” at local farms, visited agricultural operations personally, and demonstrated the results of trials using complex granular fertilizers. They discussed the advantages of these products over traditional NPK mixed fertilizers, particularly for marginal crops in the region, such as corn, rice, sugarcane, coffee, and bananas.
Sustainable agriculture is a key component of Uralchem’s ESG strategy. The company is advancing responsible farming practices, implementing educational programs to enhance agronomic literacy among clients, partners, and distributors, and working to ensure that the use of their products contributes to higher crop yields and soil fertility preservation.
Irina Shustova, Head of Product Marketing at JSC OHC Uralchem, noted, “In Latin America, there are many soils that are suitable for cultivating crops. For their development, efficient and technologically advanced fertilizers are required, which is a demand that local production cannot meet. The activities carried out by the Group also had an educational aspect. The population of the region needs quality food products, and Uralchem’s mission is to make a world without hunger a reality.”
