BiOWiSH Crop Liquid receives CFIA approval and expands distribution in U.S. and Canada
BiOWiSH Technologies, Inc. has announced that its innovative product, BiOWiSH Crop Liquid, has been approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) for agricultural use in Canada. This approval paves the way for expanded distribution through ADM, a leader in global supply chain management. In response to the CFIA certification, ADM will now offer BiOWiSH Enhanced Fertilizer at nine new locations across the U.S. and Canada.
Bill Diederich, Chief Innovation Officer at BiOWiSH, commented on the approval: “Earning CFIA approval is a testament to our innovative, natural, and non-GMO technology, which helps farmers improve crop production sustainably.” He added, “Partnering with an industry leader like ADM allows us to advance productivity and implement climate-smart practices in a practical way for farmers.”
BiOWiSH Fertilizer Enhancement, a blend of proprietary microbial cultures, can be coated onto dry fertilizer or mixed with liquid fertilizer to create an enhanced efficiency product. This process occurs at the fertilizer supplier before the product arrives ready for use on farms. The enhancement helps create a synergistic relationship between plants and soil microbes, optimizing nutrient uptake and potentially increasing yields at a minimal cost to farmers.
ADM, through its re:generations program that rewards farmers for adopting climate-smart practices, will distribute the enhanced fertilizer. This program and the new product availability aim to help farmers optimize yield potential and increase profits. Notably, studies have shown that using BiOWiSH Enhanced Efficiency Fertilizer can significantly increase profit margins for crops such as wheat and corn.
