Pivot Bio inaugurates a pioneering Customer Success Center at Iowa State University
Pivot Bio has opened a new 36,000-square-foot Customer Success Center at the Iowa State University Research Park. The inauguration is in keeping with the company’s general strategy of advancing microbial nitrogen solutions, with a view to reducing farmers’ dependence on synthetic fertilizers. The development became possible with the $14mn investment by Pivot Bio in collaboration with ISU Research Park and Story Construction. The new commercial hub for microbial nitrogen products aims to serve as a nexus for education and collaboration, engaging farmers, researchers, and industry experts in addressing critical challenges in crop nutrition and agricultural technology.
The facility includes a 15,000-square-foot open high bay area designed to support agronomy equipment work, offering hands-on training and calibration for seed treatment equipment. The center will also help the scaling of Pivot Bio’s PROVEN 40 on-seed product — a pioneering solution that allows corn farmers to meet a significant portion of their nitrogen fertilizer needs directly through their seeds.
Wendy Wintersteen, President of Iowa State University, emphasized the synergy between Pivot Bio and the university, stating, “Pivot Bio’s new Customer Success Center in the ISU Research Park is a perfect fit for Iowa State’s vibrant innovation ecosystem.” She highlighted the partnership’s role in fostering economic growth, supporting farmers, and reinforcing Iowa’s pivotal position in pioneering a sustainable agricultural future.
