The production of mineral fertilizers in Russia in 1Q2023 fell by 8.3%

During 1Q2023, Russian enterprises produced 6 million tons of mineral fertilizers, which is 8.3% less compared to the last year. Despite the fact that since the beginning of the year the production of mineral fertilizers has been gradually growing, they didn’t manage to reach the last year result.
According to representatives of the Russian Fertilizer Producers Association, we may see the last year’s trend. The volume of production of potassium fertilizers in the first quarter dipped by 31%. At the same time, the production of the main types of mineral fertilizers (phosphorus, nitrogen and high-tech complex) is growing.
