EuroChem creates a competence center based on ProTech Lab
As part of EuroChem’s strategy in the development of phosphorus fertilizer production, a decision was made to establish an international Russian-Israeli scientific center of competence in phosphorus based on the ProTech Lab R&D center.
The Israel division will focus on developing new products and technologies for the company. The Russian center will be engaged in solving production issues. The main focus of its activities is aimed at production sustainability based on phosphorus raw materials of various qualities, increasing the productivity of plants for the production of extractive phosphoric acid and fertilizers, reducing production costs at processing stages, improving product quality, as well as experimental confirmation of the effectiveness of investment projects.
“Establishing our own research center will allow EuroChem to respond to production problems and customer requests quickly and will significantly save the company’s costs for implementing and developing new technological solutions for the production of phosphorus fertilizers and industrial products,” said Oleg Shiryaev, EuroChem’s CEO.
The Russian Competence Center is located in Skolkovo. On its basis, laboratories are being created with installations that simulate the entire production chain – from the processing of phosphorus-containing raw materials to final products. Research engineers will work out technological processes and issue ready-made recommendations for manufacturers. The tests of various modes of operation on pilot plants will make it possible to reduce losses at the stage of technology change in the realnaturalditions of existing industries. The competence center plans to complete over 20 projects for 2023-2025.
