Perm Mineral Fertilizers will receive impressive investments
The volume of capital investments of Uralchem in the development of Perm Mineral Fertilizers (part of Uralchem) in 2023 is planned to reach 2.2 billion rubles (almost $29 million), which is a third more than in 2022, said Alexey Averyanov, Director of Perm Mineral Fertilizers.
In 2023, Perm Mineral Fertilizers will focus on the planned overhaul of facilities, as well as on continuing the investment program for the development of the ammonia plant and introducing an expanded MES system into production. According to the plan, the stop repair will take place in the fall and will last over a month. The most important task is to upgrade the equipment in the ammonia and carbamide shops.
“Contracts for the supply of the main items of equipment for repairs have already been concluded. Most of the components will come from Russian manufacturers,” said Alexey Averyanov.
Summing up the results of 2022, Alexey Averyanov spoke about the completion of the investment project to increase the capacity of packing carbamide in flexible containers up to 600 thousand tons per year. For this purpose, a major overhaul of the premises was carried out in the loading shop. Forklifts and a wheeled loader crane for loading big bags into gondola cars were purchased. The infrastructure has been brought into line with the highest standards of labor protection and industrial safety.
