Syngenta filed a $500k lawsuit against Agranta-Kazan
On January 17, 2023, the Commercial Court of Moscow will hold a hearing on the claim of the Russian subsidiary of the Swiss company Syngenta against Agranta-Kazan (Tatarstan).
As follows from the case files, Syngenta intends to recover almost 33.262 million rubles (over $500 thousand) from Agranta-Kazan. The reasons for filing a claim are not disclosed but they may be associated with the supply of plant protection products.
Syngenta is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of pesticides. Agranta-Kazan is engaged in trading activities.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
