Pesticides production to be launched in the Volgograd region
By 2024, the authorities of the Volgograd region intend to create infrastructure for the Khimprom special economic zone, spending 1.8 billion rubles (almost $30 million) from the regional budget.
Within the framework of the Khimprom special economic zone, it’s planned to build enterprises for the production of various types of chemicals, including plant protection products. As of today, five investors have shown their interest to become participants.
“The Khimprom special economic zone will be based on the plant of the same name, located in the city of Volgograd and idle for many years. The production of plant protection products there will be in demand in Russian agriculture,” commented the information and analytical service of Fertilizer Daily.
