Russian farmers acquired necessary amount of fertilizers ahead of schedule
During the nine months of this year, Russian producers provided almost 100% of fertilizers of the forecast needs of Russian agriculture for 2022, said Andrey Guryev, President of the Russian Fertilizer Producers Association (RFPA).
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, by the end of September, farmers and agricultural enterprises purchased 4.7 million tons of mineral fertilizers. This is 14% more than in the same period last year.
“It’s only October, and farmers are already provided with mineral fertilizers by almost 100% of the annual plan. There is no doubt that the annual demand of farmers for mineral fertilizers will be exceeded,” Andrey Guryev noted.
