Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia proposed to subsidize fertilizer purchases
The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) proposed to subsidize part of the farmers’ costs for the purchase of mineral fertilizers on the stock exchange. This proposal was included in the draft roadmap for the development of exchange trading for 2022–2025.
FAS expects that subsidizing will increase the volume of trading on the exchange and create liquid indicators of prices for mineral fertilizers. The corresponding government decree is planned to be prepared in the 4Q2023. FAS and the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia are listed as responsible executors.
