Syngenta increases its share on the Brazilian market
The Swiss-based Syngenta, specializing in the production of crop protection products, has announced the acquisition of Brazilian distributor of mineral fertilizers and pesticides Agro Jangada. The acquisition will strengthen Syngenta’s position in Brazil. The amount of the deal hasn’t been disclosed.
Agro Jangada has six distribution centers. As follows from the terms of the deal, the company will continue to operate under its own brand.
“Syngenta is always committed to efficiency and sustainability in agriculture. Agro Jangada is now becoming part of our commercial platform and will work in coordination with our existing distribution network, closing the distance to the end customer,” said André Savino, CEO of Syngenta.
