Fertilizers in Russia may rise in price in September
Minister of Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development of the Ulyanovsk region, Mikhail Semenkin, expects the prices for mineral fertilizers to be increased in September this year.
Earlier, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia approved a gradual increase of prices for mineral fertilizers until the end of 2022. The price for ammonium nitrate will be increased in September 2022 by 10% compared to the average price in May-July 2021, in December – by 8.6% compared to September 2022. For other types of mineral fertilizers, price indexation in June 2022 was 5% compared to the average price in May-July 2021, in September it will go up by another 5%, and in December – by 8.4% compared to September 2022.
“The recommended time for sowing winter crops in the Ulyanovsk region is from August 25 to September 15. The need for mineral fertilizers for autumn field work is 15.1 thousand tons. As of today, 5.7 thousand tons, or 38% of the planned level, have been purchased,” Mikhail Semenkin noted.
