PhosAgro continues cooperation with the Leningrad region
PhosAgro signed a cooperation agreement with the authorities of the Leningrad region. The document was signed by Governor of the Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko and PhosAgro CEO Mikhail Rybnikov.
“PhosAgro is a reliable strategic partner of our region. Amid the current economic realities, it’s especially important that the company continues investing in the development of production and implementing its social and environmental projects,” said Alexander Drozdenko.
The Volkhov branch of Apatit (part of PhosAgro) is one of the largest chemical enterprises in the Leningrad region. At the moment, it’s completing a large-scale investment program aimed at developing the production and increasing the volume of products output.
Capital investments are about 34 billion rubles (almost $408.5 million). The first two stages of the investment program were completed in 2021. After the full completion of the project, the total capacity of the new units is expected to reach almost 900 thousand tons. Construction is carried out using the best available technologies.
One of the results of the investment program will be the creation of more than 300 new jobs for highly qualified specialists.
