PhosAgro intends to increase exports to Brazil
PhosAgro plans to expand the export of mineral fertilizers to Brazil amid the duties imposed on Russian products by other countries, said PhosAgro CEO Andrey Guryev.
“We are ready to consider the possibility of increasing the supply of eco-efficient Russian fertilizers to the Brazilian market and support work in the field of regulation and mutual recognition of requirements for agricultural products, fertilizers and food. This was mainly the result of the imposed duties by the US and China,” said Andrey Guryev.
He recalled that in 2021 the company had already increased the supply of mineral fertilizers to the Brazilian market by 40%, in total exceeding 1.5 million tons.
“We expect to maintain the achieved rates of fertilizer supplies, and we are exploring the possibilities of increasing them. The agro-industrial complex will continue to lead the way for increasing the trade turnover between Russia and Brazil,” summed up Andrey Guryev.
