SDS Azot is designing a new production complex
In two years, SDS Azot plans to begin the construction of a new complex for the production of ammonia and carbamide. The project may require about $1.5 billion.
“We have chosen the site and entered the design phase. We expect that the design process will last 18 months and the construction – another 3 years. We plan to start construction in autumn 2023,” said Roman Trotsenko, owner of SDS Azot.
SDS Azot manages Kemerovo Azot and the Angarsk Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant. The company may produce about 1.2 million tons of ammonia, 1.3 million tons of ammonium nitrate, 600 thousand tons of carbamide, and 300 thousand tons of ammonium sulfate.
