Rusagro’s CEO leaves the company
Rusagro announced that its CEO Maxim Basov will leave his post after the contract expires on December 31, 2021.
Maxim Basov has been serving as the CEO of Rusagro since the establishment of the company. Previously Mr. Basov held management positions at Severstal, Metalloinvest, and Interpipe.
Rusagro owns a land bank with a total area of 637 thousand hectares. Its land plots are located in the Oryol, Tambov, Voronezh, Kursk and Belgorod regions. In 2020, Rusagro harvested from its fields 4.5 million tons of crops, of which 2.9 million tons is sugar beet.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
