Haifa Group will participate in space colonization
The Israeli Haifa Group will participate in experiments on the cultivation of chickpea aboard the International Space Station. The works are scheduled for next February and will be conducted by Israeli astronaut Eytan Stibbe.
Haifa Group specialists will help to create a mini-greenhouse for growing chickpea and will develop a nutritional system for its sprouts.
“In a rapidly changing world, Haifa Group is moving forward to be a pioneer in plant nutrition that is suitable for growing in space,” said Natan Feldman, Haifa Group’s Vice President of marketing, business development, and innovation.
Haifa Group specializes in the production of water-soluble fertilizers used, in particular, for growing vegetables in greenhouse complexes.
