Rost Group intends to buy Churilovo
Rost Group plans to acquire the Churilovo agricultural complex (Chelyabinsk region). Rost has already submitted a request to the Federal Antimonopoly Service for permission to complete the transaction.
Churilovo specializes in growing vegetables in greenhouses. The company owns greenhouses in the Chelyabinsk and Kurgan regions with a total area of 62.5 hectares which may produce up to 73.5 thousand tons of vegetables per year. Rost Group also grows vegetables in greenhouses and has 12 greenhouse complexes, five logistics centers, and a trading house.
“By purchasing the Churilovo agricultural complex, Rost Group will strengthen its position in the Russian vegetable market, displacing such large players as Eco-Culture and Gorkunov Group,” said Alexei Rezvanov, Chief Editor of Fertilizer Daily.
Earlier, Fertilizer Daily reported that Novatek intended to recover a debt from Churilovo of about $61.5 thousand.
