Shchekinoazot project was approved by the state expertise
Glavgosexpertiza of Russia (Main Department of State Expertise) has studied the design documentation and the results of engineering surveys for the construction of a complex for the production of ammonia and carbamide at the Shchekinoazot plant (Tula region). As a result, Glavgosexpertiza issued a positive conclusion.
The complex’s capacity will be 525 thousand tons of ammonia and 700 thousand tons of carbamide per year. In 2019, to implement the project for its construction, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the government of the Tula region and Shchekinoazot signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding for the conclusion of a special investment contract.
The implementation of the project, approved by Glavgosexpertiza of Russia, provides for the creation of an ammonia and carbamide production facility and a liquid ammonia warehouse.
