Alexander Lukashenko found a way to avoid sanctions
According to the statement of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, Belarus is ready to export potassium fertilizers through Russian ports. This was his response to the threats of Lithuania to ban the transit of Belarusian potassium fertilizers through their territory.
“We will deliver these volumes with loading in Murmansk. That’s not an issue. And along the Northern Sea Route, we will deliver them to China (our main market) and India,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
Mr. Lukashenko also advised Western countries to “just think” before imposing sanctions against Minsk. According to his statement, it’s not worth taking up the sanctions “axes and pitchforks” as they may have the opposite effect.
