PhosAgro will create a carbon farm
During the conference “Carbon Neutrality — a New Trend in the Global Economy”, PhosAgro and the Russian Academy of Science (RAS) announced the launch of a project to create a carbon farm in the Vologda region.
“Near the Cherepovets complex of PhosAgro in the Vologda region, we will create a new forest-field landscape, the task of which is to deposit carbon. Its design capacity is 0.7 million tons of carbon dioxide per year. The scientific methodological expertise of RAS will help us to achieve success in this project. I’m confident that our joint work on carbon farm projects will contribute to the efficient use of our country’s natural resources and open new approaches to minimize the impact of industry on the environment,” said PhosAgro CEO Andrey Guryev.
