A new greenhouse complex was launched in Kazakhstan
A new greenhouse complex with an area of 5.6 hectares was launched in the city of Oral (Kazakhstan). Total investments amounted to 6 billion tenges (approximately $14 million).
“Greenhouse products of local producers are in demand in the market. Cucumbers, tomatoes and greens are also exported to Russia. We note great prospects for the development of this sector of the economy. The opening of new greenhouses makes it possible to provide the region’s population with vegetables at reasonable prices and creates new jobs,” said Mukhtar Mankeyev, First Deputy Governor of the West-Kazakhstan region.
The construction of two more large greenhouse complexes with an area of 5.8 and 10 hectares has begun this year. Already in 2021, it’s planned to provide the market of Western Kazakhstan with cucumbers and tomatoes and also export them to Russia.
