Israel Chemicals has sealed a good deal
The American Compass Minerals has completed the sale of its special fertilizer business subdivision in South America. Israel Chemicals acquired it for $432 million.
This deal helped Compass Minerals to improve its assets portfolio, while Israel Chemicals became able to strengthen its position in the South American market, as the acquired subdivision is presented in 25 of 26 states of Brazil and directly or indirectly serves over 32 thousand farms.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
