Azerbaijan sharply reduced nitrogen fertilizer exports
During January-March time this year, the export of nitrogen fertilizers from Azerbaijan amounted to almost 12.494 thousand tons, which is four times less compared to the same period in 2020.
The only producer of carbamide in Azerbaijan is the state oil and gas corporation Socar, which has its own carbamide plant. The enterprise was launched in January 2019. Consuming 435 million cubic meters of natural gas, it can produce up to 660 thousand tons of carbamide per year. The volume of investments amounted to €800 million (approximately $955 million).
