Export of carbamide from China is expected to fall slightly
As follows from the statement of Nutrien’s experts, the export of carbamide from China to the global market this year will amount to 4 to 5.5 million tons, which is much more than previously predicted, however, below the level of 5.5 million tons reached in 2020.
According to their estimates, such a volume in export will be the result of the loading of chemical enterprises in China, since the current prices for carbamide compensate for the increase in raw material costs.
At the same time, prices for carbamide and the carbamide-ammoniac compound in the United States raised as well due to strong demand during spring field works, combined with the suspension of some plants and slow imports.
