Vertical Exploration intends to use wollastonite in agribusiness
Canadian Vertical Exploration company, together with the Agrinova research center, plans to experiment on the use of the wollastonite mineral in agriculture. Agrinova will be provided with wollastonite from Vertical Exploration’s Saint-Onge deposit.
Agrinova is currently developing a detailed research agenda for the coming months. They will study the possibility of using wollastonite as a sustained-release mineral fertilizer, both in pure form and with the addition of apatite concentrate from the Lac a Paul deposit developed by Arianne Phosphate.
Wollastonite is a natural calcium silicate used for the production of plastics, tires, varnishes and paints in the non-ferrous industry.
