India stays dependent on the phosphorite imports
Jordan Phosphate Mines and Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative have signed an agreement to sell 2.6 million tons of phosphorites until the end of March 2022.
As the General Director of Jordan Phosphate Mines, Abdel Wahab Alrowwad, stated, a new agreement is a turning point in relations between Jordan Phosphate Mines and Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative.
Jordan Phosphate Mines is a phosphate mining company that produces diammonium phosphate and phosphoric acid. In 2019, the enterprise produced 550.440 thousand tons of diammonium phosphate and 252.270 thousand tons of phosphoric acid.
Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative is one of the largest phosphorite consumers in the world. Jordan Phosphate Mines exports to India 65% of its total phosphorite exports.
