Uralkali became unprofitable

Uralkali reported on its 2020 financial and production results.
According to the company’s press-release, the output of potassium chloride increased by 2% to 11.3 million tons, and its sales raised by 30% to 12.7 million tons. Of the total sales of potassium chloride, its sales to the domestic market rose by 8.3% to 2.6 million tons and its export increased by 36.5% to 10.1 million tons.
The revenue of Uralkali in 2020 declined by 3% to $2.696 billion. By the end of last year, Uralkali faced a loss of $43 million, while in 2019 the company achieved a net profit of $1.207 billion.
