PhosAgro and the Perm region signed a cooperation agreement
The Apatit enterprise (part of PhosAgro) and the government of the Perm region signed a cooperation agreement and a plan of interaction with the industrial complex of the region.
The signing ceremony was online as a video conferencing meeting. The document was signed by the General Director of Apatit Alexander Gilgenberg and the Governor of the Perm region Dmitry Mahonin.
The parties agreed to cooperate in solving priority tasks for the socio-economic development of the region, strengthening its economic and industrial potential, implementing investment projects and projects in the framework of public-private partnership.
“It has become a good tradition for our company to sign partnership agreements with the governments of the regions of our presence. We are glad that the Perm region, one of the most economically developed subjects of the Russian Federation, has been added to the list of our partners,” Alexander Gilgenberg said. “Our company has longstanding and productive relationships with individual enterprises of the region. In 2020 alone, Apatit acquired services and goods in the Perm region of more than 11.3 billion rubles (approximately $153 million). With this agreement, we declare our readiness to systematically participate in strengthening and developing the economy of the Perm region. Our experience shows that such agreements become the key to further strengthening of partnership in all areas.”
The document provides for cooperation in the development of digital technologies and the system of training specialists, as well as the exchange of best practices in the field of management. The agreement is aimed at developing efficient contracts with enterprises of the region, including the implementation of an import substitution policy. The agreement is valid for three years.
“Our region specializes in the extraction of minerals and the production of mineral fertilizers. I know that the companies of our region and PhosAgro have established close cooperation in terms of the supply of raw materials for the production of mineral fertilizers. For our part, we also understand the need for closer industrial cooperation. These are the tasks that form the basis of the agreement signed today. I’m sure that Perm companies have something to offer Apatit and PhosAgro, including personal protective and special equipment and work clothes. We hope that today’s event will become a new milestone in the development of our relations,” said Dmitry Mahonin.
