Roman Trotsenko pledged his nitrogen assets

NPO Altair, the sole owner of which is a Russian businessman Roman Trotsenko, was pledged to VTB against a loan taken by a businessman for a six-year period.
NPO Altair, in turn, owns SDS Azot, which manages the Kemerovo Azot and the Angarsk Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant (Irkutsk region). NPO Altair also owns 50% of the registered capital of Promchimtorg which acquired the Meleuz Mineral Fertilizers (Bashkortostan) two years ago.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
