Turovsky greenhouse complex to launch in 3Q2020
As Andrey Razin, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow region, reports, the glazing of the first part of the Turovsky greenhouse complex (near Serpukhov city) has been completed.
The area of the first part of the complex is 6 hectares. Vegetable growing will occupy 5 hectares, and seeds will take the other one hectare. The designed capacity of the new greenhouse complex is more than 4 thousand tons of vegetables per year.
According to the Minister’s statement, the construction is going as planned. “The new complex will grow vegetables and greens using modern production technologies. Particularly, using hydroponics with a drip irrigation system, assimilation lighting and climate control system.”
The total investments in the construction of the Turovsky greenhouse complex will amount to RUB1.7 billion (approximately $24.4 million).
“Currently, about RUB1.5 billion (approx. $21.5 million) have already been invested. The new complex will create 100 workplaces. We plan to launch the Turovsky greenhouse complex in the third quarter of 2020,” Andrey Razin added.
The construction and commissioning of new greenhouse complexes across Russia will stimulate demand for water-soluble fertilizers. The leaders in the production of such fertilizers in Russia are Uralchem, PhosAgro and EuroChem.
