Russia increases pesticide production
According to the Federal State Statistics Service, in January-April this year, the output of crop protection agents sharply increased in Russia.
As the agency reports, in the first four months of 2020, the production of herbicides jumped by 55.4% to 38.1 thousand tons. The production of fungicides rose by 3.9% to 10.6 thousand tons.
In April, the output of herbicides increased by 34.9% (compared to the same month last year) and amounted to 12.6 thousand tons. While the output of fungicides fell by 6% to 4 thousand tons.
