Moscow region may become a leader in greenhouse vegetables
According to Andrey Razin, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow region, in 2020, several greenhouse complexes with a total area of about 40 hectares will start operating in the Moscow region.
“I think at least forty,” he said in the video published on the YouTube channel of the governor of the Moscow region.
The Minister also added that by the end of the year, new greenhouses would allow the Moscow region to become the second from the top by volume of vegetables grown on the closed ground in the country.
“The second one is for sure, we may even take the first place,” said Andrey Razin.
In general, there are greenhouse complexes with an area of 150-180 hectares to be constructed in the Moscow region by 2025.
