Altai region completes spring crops sowing

Farmers of the Altai region have completed the sowing of spring crops on the area of 4.106 million hectares (which is 90% of the plan). Sowing of spring grains and leguminous plants had reached 2.717 million hectares (89%).
Klyuchevsky, Mamontovsky, Rebrikhinsky, Rubtsovsky, Tyumentsevsky and Shipunovsky districts have reported on the full completion of the sowing of cereal crops and leguminous plants.
The sowing of buckwheat takes 235 thousand hectares (50%), and the sowing of forage crops takes 225 thousand hectares (76%) while the sowing of millet continues.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
