Intrepid Potash modest 1Q2020 results
In January-March this year, the American company Intrepid Potash was not able to significantly increase sales of potassium chloride. 1Q2020 sales grew by 12.5% to 99 tons. But the company’s production increased more significantly by 24.5% to 137 tons.
Intrepid Potash reports that increased demand from agricultural consumers is a reason for expanding sales. At the same time, the cost of potassium chloride supplied by Intrepid Potash decreased by 11.4% to 255 thousand tons.
Intrepid Potash operates three potash salt enterprises, one in New Mexico and two in Utah.
