Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers improves in-plant logistics
Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers (part of Uralchem) will repair the road around the wet-process phosphoric acid #3 workshop. In total the company will bring about 5.5 thousand square meters of the road surface into a satisfactory condition.
In fall 2019, the company began preparatory works to provide access to the place of phosphogypsum loading. The contractor laid the foundation for the roadbed. They also filled the road with sand and gravel and conducted its layer-by-layer compaction.
In spring this year, Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers has proceeded with relevant works. Until the end of June this year, the workers will carry out reinforcing and concreting of the road. Diverting of groundwater and surface drainage will provide additional strength and reliability to the roadbed. The last stage will be to bring the site of the car entrance for phosphogypsum loading into good condition.
“The works that we plan to implement in 2020 will allow us to normalize the turnover of phosphogypsum from the territory of the enterprise to the landfill. They will also undoubtedly lead to an increase in the production culture,” notes Aleksey Chelnokov, the leading engineer for technical supervision of the capital projects department. “I am glad that favorable weather conditions allow contractors to carry out the planned work efficiently and on time.”
