Indian Potash may renew the contract with BPC
The contract of the Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) with Indian Potash to supply potash fertilizers may be extended in March 2020 under the same conditions, i.e. at $280 per 1 ton, said Sangeeta Bahadur, Ambassador of India to Belarus.
“I think the contract will be extended under the same conditions,” she said.
In October 2019, BPC contracted Indian Potash, its long-term strategic partner in India, to supply potash fertilizers to the Indian market within a six-month period at a price of $ 280 per 1 ton, which is $10 less compared to the previous contract.
Earlier, in August 2018, BPC signed a contract with Indian Potash at a price of $290 per 1 ton from September 2018 to July 2019. The increase in the previous price of the Indian contract amounted to $50 per 1 ton, or more than 20%.
For BPC, India is a strategic market, along with the term are China.
