Zuari Agro Chemicals is trying to bring its plant back to life
The Indian company Zuari Agro Chemicals has restarted the operations of its chemical plant in Zuarinagar, Goa. Currently, the production of NPK fertilizers has been resumed, however, the production of ammonia and urea has not yet been reanimated.
NPK fertilizers had not been produced at the enterprise since April this year due to a shortage of raw materials and problems with the supply of natural gas. In July, the ammonia and urea production ceased, in September it was possible to resume it though, but for five days only.
According to a Zuari Agro Chemicals official, the issue with the availability of natural gas, supplied by Gas Authority of India Limited, has not been resolved yet.
