Garabogazkarbamid develops supplies to Europe
Since the beginning of this year, the plant Garabogazkarbamid (part of the state concern Turkmen Chemistry) has shipped two-thirds of the urea produced, i.e. 261 thousand tons, outside Turkmenistan.
The products are sold to agricultural organizations in Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Spain, and other countries.
Garabogazkarbamid was opened last September. It can produce up to 1.155 million tons of urea per year.
Urea is one of the most important nitrogen fertilizers.
