Belarus intensively stores up mineral fertilizers
Belarusian farmers have made a stock of 197 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers (in terms of 100% of nutrients) for the upcoming spring sowing, which is 16.4% of the required volume, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus.
With that said, as of the same date last year, mineral fertilizers were stocked up in the amount of 130.9 thousand tons or 10.9% of the required amount.
Grodno region has stored up the most for the upcoming spring sowing – 29.2% of the required volume of fertilizers, and Vitebsk region – the smallest, only 9.35%.
As for the types of fertilizers, potassium fertilizers have been procured to the greatest extent (21.9%), and phosphorus fertilizers – to the smallest (8.63%).
