Ukraine continues to increase fertilizers import
During eight months of this year, the import of nitrogen fertilizers into Ukraine according to the materials of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine grew by 39.9% and amounted to 1.289 million tons.
Imports of potash fertilizers increased by 77.4% to 138.324 thousand tons, complex fertilizers — by 15.9% to 1.484 million tons.
However, the import of phosphate fertilizers in January-August 2019 decreased by 22.4% to 67.611 thousand tons.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
