Agrimin and Newhaul to create a joint venture
The Australian company Agrimin has signed an agreement with Newhaul to establish a joint venture Newhaul Bulk, which will be engaged in road haulage and road maintenance services for the Mackay project.
As part of the Mackay project, the process plant has been designed for a capacity of 426,000 tonnes of sulphate of potash per year for over at least 20 years. The operating cost will amount to $ 200 per tonne of salt.
Agrimin conducted a prefeasibility study for the Mackay Project and estimated the reserves and the resources from the surface to a depth of 24.7 m. According to its data, sulphate of potash (SOP) reserves are 4.3 million tons, and projected capacity is 18.9 million tons. The average potassium (K) concentration reaches 3.6 mg per 1 litre of brine.
